Update log 22/02/14

Well, the couple of days have been radio silence on my part, but that's mainly because I haven't been doing things that exciting. I have been trying to import tiles to the game engine, and have been successful somewhat. I'll continue to work on implementing the tiles, and hopefully I can finish the basic tiles by tomorrow.

But before leaving, I decided to give a before and after image of Faylea Castle.

And before anyone starts complaining, no I did not make the new Tiles myself (The first images tiles are mine though), yes this is taken from websites that give free resources to people like me who is still a beginner at pixel graphics,  and yes, I am going to include the  credit list right here.

Credits for tiles
  • Enterbrain
  • Mack
  • Celianna
  • Soruve
  • Zanyzora
  • Inquisitor
  • Davias (Rips from the game Suikoden 2)
  • Smithygcn (Rips from the game Tales of Destiny)

Before anyone asks, yes these tiles were meant for RPG maker VX, but I ported them over to Engine 001, the rpgmaker I am using.

And with that I am signing off. :)

Update Log 19/2/14

Well I suppose today's update log is a bit boring. Especially since all I did today was search for free tilesets that I can use for my game. Good news is that I found some. Bad news (not really) is that they are not exactly the right size. So the next thing on agenda is to integrate all the tilesets in so that I don't have to worry about it later on.

On a completely unrelated note, my maths exam went rather well today. Hope the result will be just as well. :)

Update 18/2/14

So, this is the first regular post of many more to come. I figured this is a good spot to what I'm working on currently, if any of you out there are interested.

  • Rework the entire starting screen.
  • Start working on the battle system.
  • Map out the first couple of areas in the prologue.
On a completely different note, I have a maths exam tomorrow, and instead I am working on the game...
Yeah, I'm procrastinating. Though it is a fact that one of the most important exams of my life are due this year. So, expect at least the prologue done before my exams, (which is in may/june, plenty of time left I must say).
See ya tomorrow.
